As you pop, lift your front knee up and tuck your head down to your front shoulder. Now this is the key to getting a good landing on this trick. As soon as you leave the water pull on your front hand to get some height and then as soon as you look over your back shoulder, pull on your back hand. You can see this pulling motion in pic. 5 of the front loop transition sequence. Keep looking around for your landing spot and bend those knees to take up the landing. Once you’ve landed get back on your edge and bring the kite out of its dive.

2. Release your edge pulling up your front knee whilst tucking your head to your front shoulder
3. Pull on your front hand as you leave the water as in a normal front loop
4. Look over your back shoulder and pull on your back hand (sending the kite in the new direction)
5. Land

Not rotating all the way – This is a common problem as with the straight front loop, but can be remedied in a slightly different way. If you’re having this problem try doing everything the same. But taking off from your toeside. This may seem hard but because you’re twisted up, as soon as you leave the water, you’ll start untwisting which will start the rotation. Getting lofted and dumped – This happens when you come in with too much speed or you dive the kite in the new direction too early in the move. The key is to pull on your front hand as you leave the water giving you lift. Pause the kite up above you and then as you drop, dive it aggressively in the new direction.
