The Protoy has always done well for Airush - and for good reason; it's their flagship model. Originally best known for the graphics (anyone who has seen one will remember) the new version is a little more subtle, but these boards have stunning finishing quality.
Tested extremely well at the start of the year they have been firm favourites the UK over, and this '07 model has received more enquiries than anything else.
The Exile has been amalgametd into the Protoy lineup for '07, giving it a similar look and more freestyle ability.
We will have the Protoy Exile on show at windfest, but unfortunately the main production was delayed so the regular Protoy is late and will be air shipped - due to arrive in around 3-4 weeks. Price is set at £499

Target User Dedicated freestyle rider looking for zero compromise in performance. Compared to the X-Pact The flip tip design and double concave bottom is more suited to choppy conditions. The non topsheet construction is less suited towards sliders and general abuse. The spinal core provides increased strength. Wider tips offer more pop, combined with CRT for increased respons.
Rails By adding a shaped ABS rail for 2007 the Protoy has the forgiving ride of a board with custom rails combined with the durability of ABS.
Rocker 3 stage “competition” rocker for speed and early planning. The flfl ip tip design prevents the nose from catching in choppy conditions.
Flex The new Spinal core has allowed us to reduce the core thickness slightly to offer increased Flex over 2006. The unique damage tolerance of the Spinal core ensures long-term flfl ex performance.
Bottom shape The double concave bottom softens the ride in choppy conditions, increases the directional stability at speed and enhances edging and low wind performance.
Planform The wide tips of the Protoy insure huge amounts of pop for the most progressive riding possible.
Fins The new Metro Fin Series offer increased grip, with reduced drag through the refifi ned foils shape and reduced chord.
Construction
Spinal Core Only used on our Protoy, the new Spinal core features a unique linear Foam core for unparalleled damage tolerance and sheer force strength. This is combined with a blend of uni directional and biaxial laminate for perfect flex, response and durability. A combination of wood and glass reinforcing is used around the heel area.
