With its thin profile and close fit, the Heli is as awesome for chair riding as it is for ridge hiking. It's PERFECT for heli runs, should you be so lucky. Backcountry detailing includes: diagonal ski carry, vertical snowboard carry, a quick-access shovel blade pocket, and zippered tool pocket. The shovel pocket now has a small bottom cutout to prevent snow and water build-up. There's just enough room to stash your skins, probe, and some snacky treats inside. The Heli Pack is also hydration compatible. If you're a minimalist whose backcountry routine is super dialed, the Heli is a great pack for local day-touring.
