The Ozone Manta 2007 was designed for the legendary snow kiter and three times world champion Guillaume Chastagnol to help him push the boundaries of this rapidly expanding sport. Every session Chasta finds new methods and new areas to explore, so it is very important that his equipment is good enough, making sure it doesn't hold him back.

If, like Chasta, you are looking for a massive amount of useable power and manoeuvrability then a high aspect kite like the Manta is the one to go for. The shape of the Manta is very long and with the thin cross section it means that the Manta penetrates the wind with speed, which creates power and lots of lift and hang time. The shape of the kite also makes it turn very quickly, almost on its tips, giving you the power when and where you need it.

After so many years of snowkiting and discovering what is possible with the terrain and the wind, Ozone need the most advanced kite designs to take them to the places on the horizons of the sport. The Manta as previously stated, was initially released with a focus on snowkiting, however Ozone have been surprised by the amount of buggy riders and land boarders who have adopted the Manta as the kite of choice for high freestyle action with added benefit of de-power. The Ozone Manta is pushing the limits of all kite sports by opening up areas previously thought un-kite-able and having the safety aspects which are imperative to being hooked in.

Quality: Ozone feel that design can be broken down into 3 sub-headings! 1/ Design: a quality design results in a kite that handles as well as possible, combined with the highest level of performance and safety. 2/ Materials: when Ozone choose materials they base their decision upon the fact that the materials used are the best available for the job. 3/ Production: all Ozone kites are manufactured in their own facility, giving them total control over every aspect of the manufacturing process. Each kite is fully inflated and inspected to certified paragliding standards before leaving our DHV-approved factory. 4/ Testing: every Ozone kite has undergone thousands of hours of development, from CAD design through to riding in extremes, at -40 0 C in Norway to the baking heat and sand blasts of Chile.
Mylar Edged: Aerodynamics tells us that the leading and trailing edges are the two most critical lines in an aerofoil section. Ozone kites are Mylar taped which gives a more rigid structure, a clean and efficient aerofoil, and absolutely zero stretching. The Mylar tape effectively locks the sail shape, meaning your kite keeps its factory trim.
Double stitched: Ozone kites are double-needle stitched. This is stronger and more durable than single line stitching in the event of the kite being dragged over rough ground. Even the thread used for stitching the lines and sail is UV-bonded which adds further strength and life-span to the kite. Every seam is checked to within 0.5 mm; a look at the colour-scheme accuracy and the inside of the seams of Ozone kites will highlight this fact.
Bridle Lines: Ozone's aim is to use the least amount of line possible, to minimise parasitic drag through the air. This results in a more performant kite. Ozone have established that the accuracy and diameter of the line lengths is vitally important. To achieve this accuracy, Ozone use the highest quality Dyneema lines which are stitch finished for extra strength and less drag. The �kook-proof� colour-coded and labelled line connection system makes setup safer and completely stress-free for riders new to kiting.
Lines: Tested to 100kg, Ozone�s heat-treated Edelrid Dyneema SK75 lines ensure stretch resistance, a high thermal tolerance and durability for all kites. Lines are cut, pre-stretched, sleeved and stitched to ensure 100% accuracy. The lines are final load tested to 60% of their breaking strain to �lock� the line and as a final production check.
Attachment Tabs: The attachment tabs on Ozone kites are sewn deep into the reinforcement area of the ribs. This means that the load is spread over a larger area of material and therefore reduces any stretching and ageing of the cloth.
