They are built out of the toughest “T8” aluminum, which is currently available on the windsurfing market. Due to its intelligent design and fittings, the Naish aluminum boom is the lightest aluminum boom in the “high stiffness” category. Most carbon booms are even heavier!
The newly developed front end has a sleeker design that prevents injuries from grabbing the boom in the front area. It also features a reinforced hinging system that withstands a higher load when the level is closed. The front end still offers the "slip stop" design. This feature keeps the boom from slipping down the mast even with the most minimal closure effort and guarantees the most direct transmission of power available.
The diameter of the boom arms are reduced, so you can hold on longer with less effort. Once you use the narrow tube, you’ll never go back to a standard diameter. It feels so much better!
The external adjustment system allows for easy adjustment with out the hassles of the old “push-pins.” A simple flick of your thumb opens it, and a solid “snap ” holds it in a stainless steel pin. This system works everywhere, even in the toughest sand and salty conditions. The tail section offers a one piece alloy end with a modern and easy to use cleat system. It’s one of the lightest tail ends on the market, which decreases the swing weight to a minimum.
